j Baggett
Artist, Cat Mom, Animal Lover
During the pandemic, while everyone else was baking sourdough, I started painting portraits of missing cats from posters and giving them to their owners — just because it made people smile and kept me sane. Word got around, people started asking for portraits of their pets, and suddenly, I had an accidental business on my hands.
I paint everything on scrap wood from my dad’s carpentry shop, CutTime Creations in Worcester. He’s a retired music teacher who now spends his days happily buried in sawdust, so I get first dibs on the leftovers. Upcycled wood, eco‑friendly, and infused with fatherly love — what more could you want?
I’ve been painting pets across the country for six years now, and I never get tired of it. I’ve always been a cat mom, animal lover, and a lifelong painter, so this job feels like the universe finally connecting the dots for me.
